5.2 Tenure

5.2.1 Definition of Tenure
Tenure is defined as the right to continuous employment without expiration date. The granting of tenure assumes the continuous competence of the faculty member in fulfilling all academic, administrative and professional obligations, and maintenance of acceptable standards of professional and personal conduct which in no way are prejudicial to the good order and/or reputation of the College.

Continuous appointment may be terminated because of financial exigency as determined by the College arising from changes in the financial status of the College, e.g., loss of students or discontinuation of a program.

Only full-time faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor or above are eligible for consideration for tenure.
