Study Abroad: Semesters
The College of Mount Saint Vincent encourages students to live and learn in foreign countries to enhance their development as global citizens. Our study abroad programs broaden cultural and intellectual horizons and deepen the students’ perspective on their home country and the world.
Through IPSL @ Mount Saint Vincent, students may participate in semester-long, summer and shorter-term service-learning programs across the globe. Students study at local universities and institutes while spending a number of hours a week in community-based service projects.
The College also participates in a semester-long exchange program with St. Maryʼs University in London, which offers courses for students in a variety of majors and concentrations.
The College belongs to the Lower Hudson Valley Consortium of Catholic Colleges and Universities through which students can participate in semesters and summer programs organized by St. John’s University, Manhattan College, and Iona College.
The College sponsors Mission and Ministry trips, where students can travel as far away as Guatemala or as close to home as Kentucky (or Manhattan) to help the disadvantaged.
Students are encouraged to start planning early to adequately prepare for a semester or year abroad and should contact IPSL @ Mount Saint Vincent to start discussing their options.
