Adjunct Instructor in the Department of History

The College of Mount Saint Vincent is an academically excellent, authentically inclusive, Catholic and ecumenical liberal arts college with approximately 1,500 undergraduate students and 300 graduate students, located in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, New York City. Our beautiful 70-acre campus of rolling lawns and wooded hills overlooking the Hudson River is just 12 miles from midtown Manhattan.

Summary
The College of Mount Saint Vincent is seeking adjunct instructors to teach a course in Asian history, especially the history of modern China, modern Japan, or the history of the Philippines. Courses would begin in the Spring 2018 semester, with possibility of further adjunct work in later semesters.

Required Experience

  • A Master’s degree in history or related field, with expertise in Asian history
  • Previous experience teaching at the undergraduate level is required
  • Previous experience as an adjunct or instructor is highly desirable
