Assistant Professor in the Department of English

The College of Mount Saint Vincent is an academically excellent, authentically inclusive, Catholic and ecumenical liberal arts college with approximately 1,500 undergraduate students and 300 graduate students, located in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, New York City. Summary
The College of Mount Saint Vincent is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of English with a specialization in Early American or Ethnic American Literature for Fall 2017.

Requirements

  • Must have the Ph.D. in English in hand by the start of the appointment in August, 2017
  • Must demonstrate a desire and ability to teach upper-division courses in English, first-year core writing courses at all levels, and help design, develop, and teach advanced core literature courses
  • Must have a strong student-centered focus and a commitment to undergraduate teaching, pedagogical excellence, and liberal arts education
