6/3/2013

Riverdale, N.Y. – Biology undergraduate students Indira Cepin ’15 and Katiuska Hernandez ’15 are attending the Ecology Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program at Kent State University and The Holden Arboretum this summer.

During the competitive 10-week NSF-funded REU program at Kent State, the students will conduct mentored research to learn about the impact of human activities on urban-affected ecosystems. Their research projects will focus on interactions that occur between terrestrial and aquatic habitats, and build upon courses they have taken as biology majors at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.
