CMSV Students Participate in New York Student Aid Alliance Advocacy Day on February 7, 2012

Riverdale, N.Y. — University of Mount Saint Vincent students will join roughly 900 high school and college students, faculty, and staff from more than 55 college and university and opportunity program groups from across New York State in Albany on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 for New York Student Aid Alliance Advocacy Day. They will share their stories about the value of state student aid programs, including the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), Grad TAP, the Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP), the Science and Technology Entry programs (STEP/C-STEP), and the Liberty Partnerships Program (LPP).

Annually, more than 370,000 students depend on state student aid programs to achieve their college aspirations. More than four million New Yorker State students have received state aid to help meet their college expenses over the past four decades.
