College of Mount Saint Vincent Appoints Five New Members to the Board of Trustees

Riverdale, N.Y. – The University of Mount Saint Vincent is pleased to announce that it has appointed three new members and two returning members to its Board of Trustees, who will bring their strategic leadership in guiding the Mount on its path of academic excellence and sound governance.

The Mount welcomes the following new Trustees:

William J. Fishlinger, Founder and Chairman of WRM America Indemnity Corp. and Senior and Controlling Partner of Congdon, Flaherty, O’Callaghan, Reid, Donlon, Travis & Fishlinger. Mr. Fishlinger was also a co-honoree of the Mount’s 2012 Scholarship Tribute Dinner, the College’s highest-grossing fundraiser in its more than 100-year history benefitting student scholarships, held at the New York Public Library. He received his bachelor’s from the University of Maryland, and his J.D. from St. John’s University. Mr. Fishlinger resides in Plandome, N.Y.

Elizabeth Vermaelen, S.C., a graduate of the University of Mount Saint Vincent, who is currently an Administrator for St. Patrick Villa and past President of the Sisters of Charity of New York. She received a bachelor’s in French from Mount Saint Vincent, a master’s in French from Fordham University, and additional certificates from Hunter College and the Jesuit School of Theology. She resides in Nanuet, N.Y.

Kristin Trahan Winford, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Managing Director of Mesirow Financial Consulting, LLC. Ms. Winford received her bachelor’s in Psychology from Southern Methodist University, an MBA from Arizona State University, and is currently completing an Ed.D. in Leadership from Creighton University. She is a resident of Stamford, Conn.

University of Mount Saint Vincent’s returning Trustees are:

Steve Acunto, Founder and President of CINN Group, Inc., is Chairman of the Italian Academy Foundation and serves as Hon. Vice Consul for the Republic of Italy in New York State. He is a Trustee of John Cabot University of Rome. Mr. Acunto holds his B.A. and M.A. degrees in Classical Philology from New York University.

Mary Beth Malone, Vice President, Investment Banking Operations, for J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and a former executive with Royal Bank of Scotland and Deutsche Bank. She received her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Mount Saint Vincent. Ms. Malone resides in New York, N.Y.

Culhane, Chair of the Board of Trustees and retired Executive Vice President of the NYSE Euronext. “Their insightful leadership and dedication to the Mount’s mission with help us continue on our path of providing a high-quality education to talented and deserving students, regardless of financial circumstances.”
