College of Mount Saint Vincent Hosts 102nd Commencement on May 17, 2014

Riverdale, N.Y. – The University of Mount Saint Vincent will hold the 102nd Commencement at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 on the Riverdale campus. This year, nearly 400 students will receive undergraduate and graduate degrees from the College.

On Friday, May 16, 2014, there will be a separate Baccalaureate Awards and Hooding Ceremony, Mass and reception to be held on campus. The Awards and Hooding ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. in Hayes Auditorium, Grace Center. The Baccalaureate Mass will be held at 5 p.m. on the same day in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception in Founders Hall, for all graduates and their guests. Following the Mass, a reception will take place in Smith Hall, which is located in The Academy (South Wing) of Founders Hall, on the second floor.

The 2014 Commencement Speaker is Eugenia Ulasewicz, global leader in the fashion industry and advocate for women’s issues, who will address graduates, their families, and friends at the University of Mount Saint Vincent’s 102nd Commencement ceremony. The ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 on the River Lawn of the College’s Riverdale campus.

Eugenia Ulasewicz is the former President of Americas Operations of the Burberry Group. She led company operations in North America and South America, overseeing retail, outlet, wholesale, e-commerce, licensing, and franchise relationships. Ms. Ulasewicz also served on Burberry’s executive committee, which set the company’s global strategic vision and addressed global business issues. She continues to serve as a non-executive director of the Burberry Foundation and as a director of Bunzl, a multinational distribution and outsourcing company headquartered in London, United Kingdom.  Ms. Ulasewicz is a visiting professor in Fashion and Fashion Business at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study.

Ms. Ulasewicz is a strong advocate for women’s issues. She is a Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for Women In Need (WIN), an agency that supports homeless women in New York City, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Forum, Inc., a premiere organization advancing women’s leadership and achievement across many professional sectors.
