College of Mount Saint Vincent Hosts Alumnae/i Panel Highlighting the Humanities

Riverdale, N.Y. – The University of Mount Saint Vincent will host four alumnae/i for an interactive panel highlighting the humanities, called “Beyond the Mount: Explore the Opportunities,” on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 6 p.m. in Benedict’s, located in Founders Hall on the Mount campus.

Michael Delmont ’13, Amy Stanford ’10, Elizabeth Athenas ’09, and Jason Torres ’98, ’00 will discuss their backgrounds and experiences, provide tips on networking and etiquette, and share other professional advice. Mr. Delmont graduated with a B.A. in History and is currently an administrative assistant at Brookfield Office Properties, U.S. Commercial Operations. Ms. Stanford, who graduated with a B.A. in English, is an associate editor for Disney Interactive. Ms. Athenas has a B.A. in History from the Mount and recently graduated from Touro Law School. She works as a staff attorney at Nixon Peabody LLP. Mr. Torres followed up his B.S. in Health Education with an M.S. in Urban and Multicultural Education both from the College. He is the Computing and Communications Department Chair at Horace Mann School.

Participants will have a chance to ask questions, and later in the evening will break into smaller groups for more individual time with the guest speakers.

The panel is part of the Beyond the Mount series and is co-sponsored by the Office of Alumnae/i Relations and Giving and the Oxley Career Education Program.
