College of Mount Saint Vincent Hosts New York Catholic Youth Day on Apr. 6, 2013

Riverdale, N.Y. – The University of Mount Saint Vincent was pleased to host the first New York Catholic Youth Day on April 6th, 2013 sponsored by the Office of Youth Ministry of the Archdiocese of New York. An opening mass celebrated by His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan drew a crowd of over 1,000 participants from around the New York area. The day featured workshops for high school students, college students, and youth ministers and included music performed by Catholic musicians such as Fr. Stan Fortuna, CFR.

“New York Catholic Youth Day helped to build faith among those who attended,” said Matthew Shields, Director of Campus Ministry at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.
