College of Mount Saint Vincent Hosts the New York Classical Players November 16, 2012 at 8:00 p.m.

Riverdale, N.Y. – The New York Classical Players will be performing Tchaikovsky in Context at the University of Mount Saint Vincent, which features a pairing of Russian music with a transcription of Tchaikovsky’s iconic string sextet Souvenir de Florence for the NYCP and Arensky’s Variations on a Theme by Tchaikovsky. The performances will also include Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 at 8 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2012, at the College.

The New York Classical Players are a professional performing group of young instrumentalists committed to bringing classical concerts back to the public through the advisement of Dongmin Kim, the Music Director, who has established himself as an exciting and versatile conductor.  The musicians have made debuts at the Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and Carnegie Hall, and have been involved with high-profile endeavors such as Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project.
