7/30/2014

Riverdale, N.Y. – Katherine Moreira ’15 and Kimberly Picon ’15 were awarded scholarships to attend the two and a half day National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) held June 5-7, 2014 at the University of Maryland, College Park, through the American Association of University Women (AAUW) of New York.

The 2014 conference was hosted by the AAUW and NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, which welcomed nearly 1,000 college women.

“The conference was an empowering experience for me,” says Katherine Moreria ’15, a double major in Psychology and Spanish. “As women, we should be acknowledged. The workshops and speakers inspired the participants and ignited their motivation to be successful.”
