College of Mount Saint Vincent Welcomes Class of 2017 for New Student Orientation

7/3/2013

Riverdale, N.Y. – The University of Mount Saint Vincent welcomed members of the Class of 2017 for the New Student Orientation program. Titled “Your Journey Starts Here,” the orientation program welcomed nearly 400 students and 300 parents throughout three sessions.

The Class of 2017 and their families participated in a full schedule of activities, presentations, and information sessions by faculty, staff and student Orientation Leaders. Both resident and commuter students were invited to sleep over in Spellman Hall for a truly authentic college experience.

During Orientation, students enjoyed meeting their fellow students and were provided an inside look at life at the Mount. They also had the opportunity to create their semester class schedule, meet academic support staff, and gain a taste of future opportunities awaiting them when they arrive on the Mount campus next fall.

“It is always a pleasure to host the new students and their families at Orientation,” said Dr. Dianna Dale, Vice President for Student Affairs & Dean of Students. “It is an exciting time in their lives and in the life of the College.”
