Model U.N. Team Debates at Five College Conference

5 Student Delegates Represent the University of Mount Saint Vincent

Riverdale, N.Y. – The Mount’s Model United Nations team traveled to Mount Holyoke College to debate at the Five College Model United Nations (FCMUN) 2015 conference, which ran from March 27-29.

The Mount’s Model U.N. team debated in small, interactive committees. The student delegates that represented the Mount were Gidalthy Estevez ’15, Victor Vasquez ’16, Selina Macias ’17, Anita Mernacaj ’15, and Kaitlin Moreno ’18. Additionally, Ms. Moreno won honorable mention for her role in the crisis committee focused on the Cuban revolution.

The FCMUN conference was hosted by the Five College Consortium, including Mount Holyoke College, University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Smith College, Hampshire College, and Amherst College. The keynote speaker at the conference was Susan Bissell, Chief of Child Protection, Programme Division, UNICEF.
