Mount to Host AAUW Conference for Young Women

3/31/2017

Riverdale, N.Y. – Mount Saint Vincent will host the Westchester County branch of the American Association of University Women’s (AAUW) 14th annual Explore Your Opportunities (EYO) Conference on Saturday, April 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

EYO gives seventh grade girls in the greater New York City area the opportunity to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through interactive experiments.

Women scientists and science educators will lead students in experiments and model building. These experts will also stand out as role models—women with successful STEM careers.

The keynote speaker will be Pace University professor Michelle D. Land, whose expertise spans environmental law and policy, wildlife biology, interdisciplinary education, and campus sustainability.
