2/5/2016

Riverdale, N.Y. – Andrew Curiel and Francisco Zeno, sophomores on the Mount’s Men’s Basketball team and founders of the Be You Stay True program, have been featured in The Riverdale Press.

According to the feature, “the two, who grew up having their families pay their way through basketball camps as children, came up with the idea of creating a program for those who didn’t have the extra dollars to burn to send their child to camp.”

The story highlights the free program, which allows kids who are not be able to afford basketball camps or leagues to use their summer productively. The story also features the origin of the name, Be You Stay True, which came from Mr. Curiel’s mentor and local pastor, who always reminded him to “be you.” To make the name catchy, Mr. Curiel added “Stay True.”
