Mount Saint Vincent Expands Free Shuttle Bus Services for Students

1/3/2018

Riverdale, N.Y. – Getting to the University of Mount Saint Vincent just became faster and more convenient. The College has added a second shuttle line with direct routes connecting key locations throughout New York City. The new, free shuttle bus further accommodates students using public transit as their main means of transportation.

“We are excited to enhance our shuttle services to ensure the Mount community has the transportation they need to get to and from campus,” said Madeleine Melkonian, Senior Vice President for Admission and External Relations. “The addition of a second shuttle serving expanded routes—at no cost to our students—makes commuting, participating in campus life, and experiencing internships across the City easier, whether traveling from downtown, crosstown, or from the northern suburbs.”

Mount Saint Vincent’s newest shuttle route, the White Line, will have four pickup and drop-off locations: the College’s Riverdale campus, Bedford Park Blvd., Pelham Parkway, and Pelham Bay Park. The White Line accommodates riders from the 2, 4, 5, 6, B, and D subway trains, as well as the Bx10, Bx12, Bx26, Bx28, Bx38, and BxM11 buses.

The College’s current shuttle route, the Gold Line, will continue to travel between the Riverdale campus and the Van Cortlandt Park–242nd Street Subway Station.

The two complimentary campus shuttles will operate during the fall and spring semesters only. Both shuttles are accessible with a Mount ID and are free for all Mount Saint Vincent students, faculty, and staff.
