Mount Welcomes Undergraduate and Graduate-Level Students for Summer Sessions

Riverdale, N.Y. – The University of Mount Saint Vincent welcomes undergraduate and graduate-level students to enroll in its Summer Sessions, May 31 through August 19, 2016. The College’s Summer Sessions offer a great way to catch up or get ahead—whether you are a student at the Mount, or from another college or university, classes are open to all students who are interested in furthering their education.

The Mount offers a variety of engaging academic course options, including four-, six-, and twelve-week Summer Sessions, where students will have access to superb faculty, affordable tuition, a beautiful campus, and access to New York City. All are encouraged to apply for Summer Sessions, including college graduates looking for prerequisite courses necessary for admission into post baccalaureate programs, such as Accelerating Nursing, Medicine, Physical Therapy, or Public Health; undergraduate students who missed prerequisite courses and are looking to get back on track; undergraduate students looking to advance their academic careers with additional coursework; those looking for a career change, who need refresher courses, or people interested in enriching their professional development; and high school students looking to take advantage of early opportunities to earn college credits, helping to save money on future college costs.

The College is offering over 100 courses during the summer. Courses meet three days per week over a period of four weeks, two days per week over a period of six weeks, or once per week for twelve weeks. Examples of courses that are being offered during Summer Sessions include: Anatomy and Physiology, General Chemistry, Principles of Accounting, Principles of Marketing, Financial Management, Health Care Management, Media Criticism, Public Speaking, Art in New York Today, Narrative Photography, Experimental Drawing, Statistics, and Mathematical Modeling.

Summer Session dates include:

  • Session A: May 31 to June 27 (four weeks)
  • Session B: June 28 to July 25 (four weeks)
  • Session C: July 26 to August 19 (four weeks)
  • Session D: May 26 to July 11 (six weeks)
  • Session E: July 12 to August 19 (six weeks)
  • Session F: May 26 to August 19 (twelve weeks)

Students may complete courses during the College’s Summer Sessions without pursuing a degree or being matriculated at the College. Tuition for courses offered in the summer is lower than the Fall and Spring semesters. There are also additional opportunities for undergraduate students to live on campus during the summer.
