Professor Richard Barnet Joins Exhibiting Artists at William Holman Gallery in NYC

8/12/2015

Riverdale, N.Y. – Richard Barnet, Associate Professor of Fine Arts, has joined a diverse group exhibition at the William Holman Gallery. The exhibiting artists, who have worked in all media—clay, glass, Plexiglas, and wood—focus on a selection of current works and on the autumn season.

Professor Barnet’s work, which uses lines, color, and motion, reflects a lifetime of looking and invention. He uses abstract, surreal, and narrative elements. “These drawings are a kind of make-believe,” said Professor Barnet. “They say, ‘Let’s make something up.’ As I draw, the idea emerges.”

The exhibit’s opening reception was held on July 22, and the exhibit will run through August 26, 2015 at the William Holman Gallery in New York City.
