SAMAHAN Hosts Screening of Discovering Routes Travel Series

11/13/2018

Event welcomed Diskubre cast members and Vice Consul of PCGNY

SAMAHAN, the University of Mount Saint Vincent’s Filipino heritage club, hosted a screening of Discovering Routes travels with Diskubre on November 14 in the President’s Reception Room.

Diskubre, the heritage tour founded by the Philippine Consulate General in New York (PCGNY), follows four young Filipino-Americans on the trip of a lifetime. Promoting a deeper appreciation of Filipino heritage, participants travel through various mountain provinces and urban cities, immersing themselves in the traditions, foods, rituals, and communities of the Philippines.

The event also welcomed Vice Consul Khrystina Corpuz Popov of the PCGNY, as well as Diskubre participants and cast members. After the screening, attendees engaged in a panel discussion and Q&A session, followed by a networking event.
