Suspense Authors Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark to Appear at Mount Saint Vincent

3/11/2006

The University of Mount Saint Vincent will host authors Mary Higgins Clark, a Bronx native, and daughter Carol Higgins Clark on Thursday, April 6 at 7:30pm. They will read from their most recent novels and answer questions from the audience.

Mary Higgins Clark, “Queen of Suspense,” is the worldwide best-selling author of over twenty books. Her most recent novel, Two Little Girls in Blue, is a chilling mystery that deals with twin telepathy and a mother’s search for her kidnapped daughter who is presumed dead. Publishers Weekly gives the book a starred review saying “Bestseller Clark is at her best…”

Carol Higgins Clark’s most recent novel is entitled Hitched, the latest in her suspense series featuring Regan Reilly. In it, Reilly stumbles upon a crime scene a week before her wedding day. Meanwhile, her bridegroom, head of NYPD Major Case Squad, must deal with a series of robberies. Clark fuses the two seemingly unrelated mysteries with an ingenious twist and her trademark humor. As reviewers have said, “Mary goes for the jugular and Carol for the funny bone.”

The reading will take place in Hayes Auditorium at 7:30pm on Thursday, April 6. Copies of the books will be available for purchase. This reading has been facilitated by Paperbacks Plus Bookstore in Riverdale and is open to the public. Free parking is available on campus.

The University of Mount Saint Vincent is located at 6301 Riverdale Avenue at West 263rd Street in Riverdale. For more information call 718-405-3345.
