College of Mount Saint Vincent Presents (Pre) Occupied with Wall Street: A Conversation About Occupy Wall Street

Riverdale, N.Y. – The University of Mount Saint Vincent presents the panel discussion, “(Pre) Occupied with Wall Street: A Conversation About Occupy Wall Street,” at 4 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2011 in Cahill Lounge, Founder’s Hall, on the College’s Riverdale campus.

This discussion will be led by Dr. Ron Scapp, professor of teacher education and founding director of the Graduate Program in Urban and Multicultural Education at the University of Mount Saint Vincent, and Dr. Kristin Lawler, assistant professor of sociology.

Dr. Scapp is the interim president of the National Association of Ethnic Studies, fellow at the National Education Policy Center at University of Colorado, Boulder, and a senior associate of The Urban Educators Forum in New York City. Dr. Lawler is the author of American Surfer: Radical Culture and Capitalism, which was published by Routledge in October 2010.
