CMSV Professor Joseph Skelly to Host Panel Discussion on Stalin’s First Genocide

Riverdale, N.Y. – Dr. Joseph Skelly, Chair and Professor of History at the University of Mount Saint Vincent, will host a panel discussion titled, “Stalin’s First Genocide: Famine in the Ukraine, 1932-33,” on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. in Benedict’s.

Dr. Skelly will be joined by Taras Hunczak, historian and professor emeritus at Rutgers University, and Victor Rud from the Ukrainian-American Bar Association.

The event is sponsored by the Department of History and is presented as part of Dr. Skelly’s new course on European Genocides.
