College of Mount Saint Vincent Celebrates Hudson Heights Grand Opening with Ribbon Cutting & Announcement of Naming Winners

Riverdale, N.Y. – To celebrate the opening of the Mount’s new dining hall, the expansive new space housed inside Spellman Hall has received a new moniker: Hudson Heights. The winning entry was quoted on by students, staff, and alumnae/i. The opening prize student winner, Todd Gable ’15, suggested the names Hudson Diner and Hudson River Café, and the staff winner, No Bookstore Manager Jean Walker, suggested Hudson Café.  Each won $300 Dolphin Dollars and dinner for themselves and three friends.

The winning alumnae/i were: Michelle Mally ’70 for her suggestion of Hudson View; Barbara Halecki ’78 for her suggestion of Hudson Hall; and Pat Eidle ’64 for his suggestion of Dolphin Dining on-the-Hudson. All winning entries contained the key word “Hudson.”
