College of Mount Saint Vincent Dance Company-in-Residence BalaSole Presents Voces Directed by Adjunct Professor Roberto Villanueva on January 26 & 27, 2013 in NYC

Riverdale, N.Y– UPDATE: Roberto Villanueva, Founder and Artistic Director of BalaSole Dance Company, will present Voces, a new program of 10 dancer/choreographers in a broad range of dance styles, music choices, and artistic voices at 8 p.m. on January 26, 2013, and at 5 p.m. on January 27, 2013, at Ailey Citigroup Theater in New York City.
The performance will be directed by Adjunct Professor Roberto Villanueva and will include a variety of themes and music choices, performed by a talented group of dancer/choreographers whose have performed in works by Martha Graham, Lar Lubovitch, Robert Battle, Bill T. Jones, and Doug Varone, to name just a few.
BalaSole is a company comprised of 10 dancer/choreographers, who bring a broad range of dance styles, music choices, and artistic voices. BalaSole is the only professional dance company in the United States whose mission is to be entirely inclusive of every individual’s unique traits.
The program’s Artistic Director Roberto Villanueva founded BalaSole in 2010. Mr. Villanueva served on the faculty of Dance Masters of America’s Teachers Training Program. He has received a Harlem Stage Fund for New Work Award for his one-man show (2011-2012) and created works presented at venues in New York City and around the United States.
