College of Mount Saint Vincent Hosts New Student Orientation

6/15/2015

Riverdale, N.Y. – The University of Mount Saint Vincent will welcome members of the Class of 2019 with a new student orientation, Your Journey Starts Here. There will be two orientation sessions: Session one will run from Wednesday, June 24 through Thursday, June 25 and session two will run from Monday, June 29 through Tuesday, June 30.

During Orientation, students will have the opportunity to meet other new students and start making friends before classes begin, meet with current student leaders to get the “inside scoop” on life at the Mount, discuss their fall semester class schedule, meet faculty and academic support staff, learn about residence life and commuter life, and learn about dining services, campus safety and security, student employment, and more.

This year, 24 Orientation Leaders will be welcoming the Class of 2019 to campus for the orientation sessions. Meet your 2015 Mount Saint Vincent Orientation Leaders here.

Your Journey Starts Here is a one and a half-day program that is mandatory for new students, while parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to attend. Both resident and commuter students will stay in one of our residence halls on the evening of day one. The parent program concludes at the end of day one; however, parents and guardians are welcome to stay in the residence halls overnight for a nominal fee.
