College of Mount Saint Vincent Presents Winning Wednesday Session on Interviewing and Your Rights on June 6, 2012
5/21/2012
Riverdale, N.Y. – The University of Mount Saint Vincent’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies presents its seventh Winning Wednesday event of 2012, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. July 11, 2012 in Seton Library on the College’s Riverdale campus.
The Winning Wednesday Series is free and open to the public and offers professional advice on such topics as resume writing, hiring trends, interviewing skills, and positioning yourself for your ideal job. The workshops also include information on the College’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies programs.
The primary focus of this session, presented by Dean of the School of Professional & Continuing Studies Edward Meyer, is interviewing skills. Interviewing skills are vital for obtaining a job. Job interviews are an opportunity for the employer to get to know the interviewee and find out if that person is right for the job, so leaving a first strong impression can determine whether a candidate is the right match for a position.
