College of Mount Saint Vincent Welcomes Author Josh Weil for a Book Reading Thursday, February 28, 2013

Riverdale, N.Y. – National Book Award-winning writer Josh Weil, a former Department of English adjunct professor, will return to the University of Mount Saint Vincent to give a reading from his novella collection,The New Valley, on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in the President’s Reception Room. The lecture is free and open to the public.

The New Valley, a New York Times Editors Choice, won the Sue Kaufman Prize for First Fiction from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, the New Writers Award from the GLCA, a “5 Under 35” Award from the Nation Book Foundation, and was shortlisted for the Library of Virginia’s literary award in fiction. Josh’s debut novel, The Great Glass Sea, is to be published by Grove/Atlantic, Inc. in winter of 2013.
