Fulbright Scholar Delivers Lecture on Philippines March 3

Riverdale, N.Y. – The University of Mount Saint Vincent presents the lecture, “Philippine Politics, Economy, Education and Culture: Then and Now” from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011 in the President’s Reception Room in the Administration building on its Riverdale campus. The lecture is free and open to the public and will be given by Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence awardee Dr. Alma S. Espartinez.
Dr. Espartinez is a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence (2010-2011) awardee and currently a professor at Dominican University of California where she has been given a one-year teaching stint to handle Philosophy classes. She has received various research grants, which include her research on Karol Wojtyla and Emmanuel Leyinas. She is the author of several books, which include Logic: The Art of Reasoning and Becoming a Human Person a college textbook. She has also published many articles as well as given various talks on her research.
