Annual gala honors excellence and supports student scholarships

Riverdale, N.Y. – The University of Mount Saint Vincent will host its annual fundraising gala, the Scholarship Tribute Dinner, at Cipriani Wall Street on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. The event will begin with a cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. The gala seeks to further expand educational resources, making the College more accessible for talented and deserving students.

Annually, the College recognizes individuals at the Scholarship Tribute Dinner who boast lives of achievement with profound dedication to their principles, as illustrated by the values of the College’s mission and the charism of the Sisters of Charity. This year, the Mount is privileged to honor two internationally recognized industry leaders: M. Shafik Gabr and Pamela J. Newman.

Mr. Gabr holds a B.A. from the American University in Cairo and an M.A. from the University of London.

Pamela J. Newman is an international insurance broker specializing in Fortune 500 clients worldwide.
