Mount to Host MBA Info Session Saturday, May 9

5/6/2009

The University of Mount Saint Vincent will host an MBA Information session on Saturday May 9, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Elizabeth Seton Library on the College campus. This information session will inform prospective students about the Mount’s new Master’s in Business Administration program and how to apply.

The MBA is open to all students including those interested in pursuing a 5 year concentration, those currently enrolled at other institutions, recent graduates, working professionals, community residents looking to acquire additional business skills, and institutions or organizations seeking to strengthen their leadership.

According to Ed Meyer, Dean of the School of Professional and Continuing Studies at the Mount, “In these difficult economic times, it makes sense to ride out the storm by getting an MBA.  Students will emerge from this program ready to compete in a new market with a recognized skill set and be connected to a solid network of professionals.”

The Mount’s MBA offers non-traditional tracks such as Health Care Administration, Management and Organizational Behavior, as well as International Business. The College will also roll out a five-year graduate/Certified Public Accountant (CPA) program. Students who graduate from the program will earn their B.S. in Accounting, an MBA, and will be eligible, with 150 credit hours, to sit for the CPA exam.  Future tracks include Not-for-profit Management, Educational Administration and Human Resource Management.
