Omnicom Group Executive to Give the President’s Associates Distinguished Lecture

The University of Mount Saint Vincent will host Thomas L. Harrison, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Diversified Agency Services (DAS), as the featured speaker at its annual President’s Associates Distinguished Lecture on Tuesday, March 21, 2006.

Harrison joined DAS, a division of the Omnicom Group in 1997. He was named Chairman and Chief Executive in 1998.  Under Harrison’s leadership DAS has become the world’s largest holding group of marketing services companies.  DAS provides a wide range of marketing communications services, such as public relations, crisis management, branding, and sales promotion to more than 5000 clients worldwide.

Held each spring, the President’s Associates Distinguished Lecture brings notable business leaders to campus to speak to the College’s most distinguished alumni and friends. Past speakers have examined the multifarious challenges of the business world and the ways in which our society, our government, and our conception of ethics help business leaders address these challenges. Harrison is an accomplished speaker on issues such as entrepreneurialism, business strategies and acquisitions. At the lecture, he will speak on “The Genetics of Success.”

The President’s Associate’s Distinguished Lecture will take place on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. in the President’s Reception Room in the College’s Administration Building.  The University of Mount Saint Vincent is located at 6301 Riverdale Avenue, Riverdale, NY 10471.  This event is free and all are welcome.
