College to hold Community Leaders Reception in Smith Hall

Riverdale, NY— On March 6, 2008, the University of Mount Saint Vincent will host the Community Leaders Reception, an event celebrated jointly with neighboring Manhattan College each year. Among the many distinguished guests will be Raymond Walter Kelly, Commissioner of the New York City Police Department. Attended by local politicians, school, community and religious leaders, the event is a means for the College to celebrate the strong bonds with the community in which it has been a cornerstone institution for more than 160 years.

The event will take place at the newly renovated Smith Hall in the Administration Building on the College campus from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Mount Saint Vincent is dedicated to excellent academic preparation in the liberal arts and professions and to the education of the whole person. To that end, it must engage the entire community; legislators, educators and spiritual leaders. The Reception is a way of expressing appreciation to those who have helped make the College the leading institution that it is.
