CMSV Hosts Annual Scholarship Tribute Dinner at Cipriani Wall Street

Riverdale, N.Y. — The University of Mount Saint Vincent will host its annual Scholarship Tribute Dinner at Cipriani Wall Street on April 28, 2014. This event is an important fundraising tool for the College, as money raised through the Dinner provides scholarship funds for talented and deserving students.
The College is pleased to honor Ibrahim K. Naimi, President of Saudi Petroleum International, Inc., and Edmund C. Duffy, Of Counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates. Scholarship Tribute Dinner honorees are recognized for their business acumen, commitment to education, and support of the College’s mission.
Ibrahim K. Naimi has over 33 years of experience in working with Saudi Aramco. Prior to joining Saudi Aramco, Mr. Naimi held the position as the Riyadh Refinery Manager and the General Manager for CR Refining, Supply & Distribution, and Manager of Terminal Operations and Engineering Consulting Services. He worked as the Operations and Maintenance Manager for the RT Refinery and previous to that role he had a range of senior managerial assignments with the Juaymah Gas Plant and Berri Gas Plant. Mr. Naimi also served as Assistant Superintendent, Maintenance Engineer Supervisor, Senior Projects Engineer, Operations Engineering Supervisor, and Superintendent for NGL & Oil Operations.
Mr. Naimi earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals in Saudi Arabia. He also attended Columbia University’s Senior Executive Program, where he gained further insight in strategy, leadership, marketing, sales, talent development, and broader business capabilities.
Edmund C. Duffy is Of Counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.
Mr. Duffy has decades of experience in corporate law and focuses on acquisition and joint venture transactions, and debt and equity financings in the private and public markets. He works extensively on international transactions and handles inbound investments from Asia-based clients and represents U.S.-based clients investing and developing businesses in Asia.
Mr. Duffy also serves on the Chair of St. Aloysius School’s Board of Trustees and is a director of the Peter Jay Sharp Foundation which has provided grants to many non-profits and cultural organizations, including the University of Mount Saint Vincent. Mr. Duffy earned his Bachelor’s degree from Boston College and his Bachelors of Laws degree from Columbia University.
