Institutional Research and Assessment Mission
The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) at the University of Mount Saint Vincent supports the mission, vision, and values of the University by collecting, analyzing, and disseminating reliable, accurate, and timely information to aid in the decision making and planning process to improve all facets of the institution. Some of the responsibilities of OIRA include:
- The regulatory process of coordinating and collecting accurate data for compliance with external agencies and accreditors.
- Coordinating, collecting, and distributing institutional data to respond to various internal and external requests.
- Supporting all departments of the University with planning and assessment by gathering and analyzing data through the process of triangulation.
- Periodically surveying Mount Saint Vincent students, staff, faculty, and administration to gauge the institution’s effectiveness.
- Providing internal and external constituents with the enrollment trends of the University.
