MS in Special Education (All Grades Pre-K Through 12)

The Master of Science in Special Education (All Grades Pre-K Through 12) programs (initial and professional) position you to thrive as a special education teacher in a wide range of settings. Learn how to effectively nurture students with speech and language disorders, behavioral and emotional challenges, social development barriers, and learning disabilities.

A valid New York Initial or Professional teaching certificate is required for admission to the professional program, while a 4-year degree is required for admission into the initial program.

As a graduate of this master’s program, you will be prepared to:

    • Express subject matter knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and learner knowledge
    • Teach all students in an effective and caring manner and assess their progress and learning outcomes
