Associate in Applied Science in Business

The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in business at the University of Mount Saint Vincent is a flexible online degree designed to prepare students with the practical knowledge and professional skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce. Whether you’re beginning college, changing careers, balancing work and family responsibilities, or seeking to advance professionally, this program provides a strong foundation in business, leadership, communication, and entrepreneurship.

The program is open to all eligible students. Students who have successfully completed an eligible Apex Technical School certificate program (or comparable training elsewhere) may receive up to 30 transfer credits toward the degree, in accordance with the University’s articulation agreement, credit for prior learning, and transfer credit policies.

Designed with flexibility in mind, all courses are delivered in a fully asynchronous online format, allowing students to complete coursework on their own schedule while meeting course deadlines. This format makes it easier for working professionals, parents, and busy adult learners to earn a degree while balancing work, family, and other personal commitments. Graduates may also continue their education by pursuing a bachelor’s degree at the University of Mount Saint Vincent.

UMSV and Apex Technical School Partnership

The University of Mount Saint Vincent and Apex Technical School have partnered to create an innovative educational pathway that combines technical education with higher education.

Students who have successfully completed an eligible Apex Technical School certificate program may receive up to 30 transfer credits toward the Associate in Applied Science in business, providing an accelerated pathway toward earning their degree.

By complementing technical education with business knowledge and leadership skills, graduates can prepare for career advancement, entrepreneurship, and continued education.

Admission Requirements
