Joseph Kaplan, MD was born and raised on Long Island, NY. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Miami prior to graduating from medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He specializes in internal medicine and completed his residency training at the Northwell Hofstra North Shore/LIJ program. Joe has spent several years working in hospital medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and NYU Langone Tisch Hospital, along with Northwell Health. He has a passion for teaching, mentorship, and academia with significant experience in a plethora of academic activities, including extensive involvement in simulation-based teaching.
