FAQs
How long is the academic year?
Bridge students follow the Mount’s undergraduate academic calendar.
Do Bridge students participate in Mount Saint Vincent Commencement Exercises?
If a Bridge Student has successfully completed 2 years of the program as a full-time student, they will be invited to participate in the May Commencement Ceremony with their matriculated peers.
What will my daily schedule look like?
Each student’s schedule will be different. Their schedules will change each semester. There will be a mix of Bridge community classes, college-level classes, internship shifts, meetings, and downtime. Downtime is expected in the college setting. During these times, we expect students to complete homework, join clubs, meet with mentors, meet with Bridge staff, and learn how to manage downtime. It is not encouraged to fill up a student’s schedule with classes. As students develop into young adults, it is critical that they learn how to manage their downtime.
Is there a registered nurse on staff or a health center?
There is no registered nurse on staff at Mount Saint Vincent. There is no health center on-campus. However, we have protocols in place for students that are feeling ill or are experiencing a medical emergency.
