BA in Sociology/MA in Criminology and Justice (joint degree with St. John’s University)
University of Mount Saint Vincent (BA) – St. John’s University (MA) Alliance for Graduate Study in Criminology and Justice
An alliance between the University of Mount Saint Vincent and St. John’s University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences permits motivated Sociology majors who compile a record of high-level performance (i.e., a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 in Sociology courses and an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.0) to earn a graduate degree in an accelerated fashion.
Students take graduate courses in their junior and senior years (one graduate course during each semester of junior and senior year for a total of 12 graduate credits). During the year following graduation from the University, these students complete all requirements for a Master’s Degree in Criminology and Justice at St. John’s University.
