Jason Lee, DNP, ANP-BC, MEDSURG-BC, CCRN, CNE, is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at the Saint Joseph’s School of Nursing at the University of Mount Saint Vincent. With over three decades of experience in nursing, Dr. Lee has cultivated a distinguished career as both a clinician and educator. He teaches across undergraduate and graduate programs and serves as the coordinator for the Adult Health Nursing course.

Dr. Lee is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with clinical expertise in advanced heart failure, heart transplantation, cardiology, and primary care. He continues to maintain an active clinical practice as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. His 34-year nursing career includes 18 years of advanced practice and 16 years as a registered nurse in medical and surgical intensive care units.

Dr. Lee’s scholarly interests focus on care transitions and reducing hospital readmissions. His doctoral project, Transitional Care Intervention: A Readmission Solution, was published in the Nursing Management journal.

At the University, Dr. Lee is an engaged member of the academic community, serving on several key committees, including the Nursing Organization Committee, Undergraduate and Graduate Committees, Faculty Affairs Committee, Search Committee, and the Institutional Outcomes Assessment Committee. In recognition of his dedication to teaching, he was honored with the University’s inaugural DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty.

Dr. Lee is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and Medical-Surgical Nurse, and by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) as an Adult Critical Care Nurse. He is also recognized as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) by the National League for Nursing.

He holds professional memberships in the American Nurses Association, New York State Nurses Association, and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, and is an inducted member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
