The Advanced Certificate Program in Family Nurse Practitioner accepts applications once a year in the fall.
Admission Requirements

Two Letters of Recommendation
Two (2) letters of recommendation—one professional and one academic preferred.
References and transcripts can be sent separately or as part of the complete application. Both references and transcripts should be sent in envelopes sealed by the individual issuing the reference or the college issuing the official transcript. Copies and open envelopes are unofficial documents and will not be accepted.
New York State R.N. License
Please submit a copy of your R.N. license.
Resume
Please submit a copy of your resume.
Interview
Applicants may be asked to complete an admission interview with the program coordinator.
Admission Prerequisites
To be considered for the advanced certificate program, an applicant must have successfully completed the following prerequisites:
- Master’s degree in Nursing from a CCNE, NLN, or ACEN accredited program
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Successful completion of Advanced Pathophysiology, Advanced Pharmacology, and Advanced Physical Assessment within the last five years
