Conditional Admission
International students applying to the University of Mount Saint Vincent’s undergraduate programs must demonstrate sufficient mastery of English, both oral and written, at a level appropriate for academic studies at a U.S. college or university.
This requirement can be met by providing the University of Mount Saint Vincent with an official score on the TOEFL exam, on the IELTS exam, the Pearson PTE, the GTEC CBT exam. Students may also elect to take the SAT or ACT exams. Minimum passing scores on the English section of those exams will be the determining factor for proper English proficiency.
The minimum acceptable score on each exam is as follows:
- Written TOEFL–550; online TOEFL–80
- IELTS–6.5
- Pearson PTE–58
- GTECH CBT–1100
- SAT EBR+W–550
- ACT English–22
