Financial Aid for Veterans and Military Students

At the University of Mount Saint Vincent, we understand the importance of providing comprehensive support for our student veterans and military-connected students. That’s why we offer tailored GI BillⓇ and financial aid counseling to assist you in navigating various education benefit programs.

Our dedicated team will guide you through the intricacies of the Post-9/11 GI BillⓇ (Chapter 33), Veteran Readiness and Employment (Chapter 31), Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30), and Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance (DEA – Chapter 35). With personalized counseling, we ensure that you make the most of the benefits available to you.

As proud partners in the Yellow Ribbon program, we collaborate to help cover the cost of tuition and fees for student veterans and military-connected students. This valuable program offers additional financial support, ensuring that your educational journey is not hindered by financial burdens.

Furthermore, eligible veterans matriculated in approved programs at our institution can benefit from the New York State Veterans Tuition Awards (VTA). This award provides financial assistance specifically for veterans pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees.

For those utilizing the Post-9/11 GI BillⓇ or dependents using the Fry Scholarship, we offer the Edith Nourse Rogers Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) Scholarship. This scholarship extends additional benefits, providing up to 9 months (or $30,000) of support for training in high-demand fields.

To streamline the processing of your VA education benefits, our dedicated School Certifying Official, Jeannette Pichardo, can be reached at jeannette.pichardo@mountsaintvincent.edu. She will assist you with any inquiries or concerns you may have, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.

At the University of Mount Saint Vincent, we are committed to providing the utmost support and resources to help you maximize your education benefits and thrive academically.
