Required Documents
Complete an Application
Apply using our online application or the Common Application. There is no fee to apply to the Mount! The University of Mount Saint Vincent will accept applications with a self-reported GPA (nursing students will need to submit transcripts).
The following academic qualifications would demonstrate a strong record for consideration of admission:
- 3-4 years of mathematics
- 2-3 years of foreign language
- 4 years of English
- 2-4 years of social science
- 3-4 years of physical science including laboratory study
Optional Application Materials
Standardized Test Scores
- Standardized test scores are optional. If you believe that submitting your test scores will enhance our understanding of your overall academic achievements, you are welcome to do so. Please submit your SAT or ACT scores from the College Board. Our SAT code is 2088; our ACT code is 2823. Follow these steps to email your score report(s) for free to the Office of Admission at admissions@umsv.edu or directly to your Admission Counselor.
Essay
- To strengthen your application, you may submit a supplemental essay (250-300 words).
Online Student Portal
Once you have applied, you will be provided with login information for an easy to use, interactive student portal. This portal will give you the ability to check the status of your application at any time, upload required documents (in a .pdf format only), and view your admission decision, scholarship information, and financial aid awards.
Deadlines
The University of Mount Saint Vincent uses a rolling application process. Apply and receive a decision within four weeks of completing your application.

Students who wish to enroll at the University will be required to submit their final high school transcript by July 15.
