Professor Miller is an interdisciplinary studio artist, filmmaker, and educator working in New Genres across the visual, media, and performing arts. Her research-based practice is situated within the methodology and praxis of interdisciplinarity. She explores concepts such as memory, experimental cartography, and expanded narratology, incorporating diverse materials, mediums, and technologies to create experiential artworks; primarily installation, video, mixed media, sculpture, photography, and performance. Miller is an active practicing artist whose work has been exhibited, published, screened, and performed across the USA and Europe. A passionate educator, Professor Miller has taught at Art Schools and Liberal Arts colleges in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco, developing Contemporary Art programs, devising innovative curriculum, and engaging her students in creative adventure, critical thinking, and professional development towards a wide variety of creative careers.
