Carine McDonald is family care practitioner as well as a clinical nurse with specialization in emergency nursing, medical/surgical nursing. She enjoys incorporating storytelling teaching strategies and her clinical experiences into her education to help students connect theory to practice.

She is currently clinically active. She was inducted into the International Honor Society of Sigma Theta Tau, Eta Sigma, and Kappa Delta Pi, Alpha Kappa Theta.

She was nominated teacher of the year at the University of Mount Saint Vincent in 2013.
