New Student Checklist
Now that you have been admitted, here are some important next steps to keep in mind.
Apply for Financial Aid
To be considered for need- and merit-based scholarships, grants, loans, and work study awards, you must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- For the 2024-25 year only, the FAFSA form was delayed. Typically, the FAFSA is available in October. Make sure to complete the FAFSA as soon as you can, using Mount Saint Vincent’s school code 002703.
- Apply for state scholarships and grants. Check with your state agency for application information and forms. New York residents attending NYS schools can link directly to the TAP application from the FAFSA submission confirmation page. The NYS TAP code is 0130.
- Financial aid will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis
Accept Your Financial Aid Award
Financial aid award packages will be mailed to students who have submitted the FAFSA on a rolling basis. To receive scholarships, grants, awards, and loans you must accept your award package.
