BA in Psychology/MS in Occupational Therapy (joint degree with Dominican University)
University of Mount Saint Vincent (BA) – Dominican University (MS) Cooperative Program
The University has a cooperative 3-3 arrangement with Dominican University, which enables Mount students to earn a BA degree in Psychology from the Mount and an MS degree in Occupational Therapy from Dominican University after six years of study.
Students complete three years of coursework at the Mount and then apply for admission into the Dominican University Occupational Therapy Program. Students who meet the Dominican University criteria for admission and are accepted in the Occupational Therapy program will spend the final three years at Dominican University.
Requirements
Mount students interested in this program must apply to Dominican University during their third year at the Mount and take their English Placement Exam. Courses completed at Dominican University are transferred back to the Mount to complete the undergraduate degree requirements.
Students must complete all Liberal Arts courses with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and with no grade lower than a C (2.0). Students will take additional perquisite Occupational Therapy courses at Dominican during the summer between their third and fourth year.
Students will complete the Mount Core education requirements and the BA in Psychology degree requirements during their first three years at the Mount, including the following Occupational Therapy prerequisites:
