The University of Mount Saint Vincent (UMSV) Student Handbook is written and issued by University Student Engagement. It is the University’s official notification of the University’s policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and standards of conduct. Students are responsible for reading and thoroughly knowing all of the information contained in this Student Handbook and the UMSV Undergraduate and Graduate Catalogs. An explanation of academic policies can be found in these Catalogs. The University Catalogs and the Student Handbook are available online. Enrollment is considered an acceptance of all conditions specified in the Handbook and the Catalogs.

Since policies and procedures cannot be static in a changing environment, the information contained in this Student Handbook is subject to change by the University at any time. Accordingly, neither this Student Handbook, nor any parts of it, may be relied upon as a contract. The University may reproduce or modify this Student Handbook, or parts of it, for distribution in other formats (for example, on a webpage or in other formats for computer access, or in academic department publications). As a result, students, applicants, or other users of this Student Handbook should consult with appropriate University offices to verify the current text or status of the policies, procedures, rules, regulations or other information contained in this Student Handbook or other publications to determine whether information in this Student Handbook has been superseded or changed.
